Trail and Ring Ride Rules
Members of the Hoofer Riding Club can participate in trail rides and ring rides. Current members are permitted to bring one non-member guest/semester if that guest has had previous riding experience. Non-club trail rides may be available with prior arrangement.
Please sign up ahead of time and do not show up for a trail ride unless the trip leader who is leading the ride has confirmed that you are scheduled for the ride. Trail rides can fill up quickly, and if you have not received confirmation from the trip leader, there may not be a horse available. If you've sent an email, and have not received a reply, call the trip leader to confirm that you are on the list.
- Please arrive at the barn at least 30 min early to groom and tack your horse. Trail rides depart at the scheduled time.
- Trail rides and ring rides are supervised and cost $20/hr for members and $30/hr for non-members.
- If you cancel your ride less than 48 hours in advance, you will still have to pay the trail or ring ride fee.
- Trail rides are generally not cancelled due to inclement weather. In that case, the ride will move into the indoor arena. It is highly recommended that you sign up for the Listserve if you want to receive the most up-to-date trail and ring ride information.
