The Hoofer Riding Club (HRC) has been the official riding club of the University of Wisconsin-Madison since 1939. The HRC has its own horses and manages the Hoofer Equestrian Center (HEC), a boarding facility with 30 stalls. We offer lessons at all levels in balanced seat, western, hunt seat, dressage, and jumping. Lessons are offered six days a week, during two sessions each academic semester and during the summer.
To join the HRC, attend a Hoofer Kickoff or stop by the Hoofer Office at the Memorial Union to get signed up. Kickoffs are held at the beginning of each academic semester and are a great way to get acquainted with the club! The HRC accepts monetary donations as well as donations of equipment, tack, horses, other items of use to the club, and your time. Please see our donation page for more information about how you can become a HRC supporter. |
